THEODORUSAthens, 340 - approx. 250 B.C.
An Athenian from the suburb of Erchia. He was the father of Isocrates, and a flute maker. Aristophanes and Strates were ironic to the occupation of Theodore in order to insult Isocrates. Theodore was pretty wealthy, and he gave his children a perfect education. At around 413BC however he lost everything and died, leaving behind 3 sons apart from Isocrates: Theodore, Telesippus and Diemnestus.
