POTAMON

Potamon from Alexandria is the founder of the school of Eclecticism. He lived during the years when Augustus was emperor (31 BC - 14 AD). His school did not exert much influence, his OBSERVATIONS did not survive and what little is known about this philosophical current comes from Diogenes Laertius and his work LIFES OF PHILOSOPHERS.
