A grand mathematician of the ancient world, preceding Eratosthenes and Archimedes. His whereabouts and birth are unknown, thus he is often confuses to Socrates' pupil Eykleides of Megara. According to Proclus, he lived during the time of Ptolemy the First (323-285BC) and founded the famous Mathematician Academy in Alexandria. He is the founder of axioms. Among his legendary works are "Elements", "Phenomena", "Optics", "Mirrors".
