THEANO

Theano was the daughter of the doctor Vrontinos. Theano became a famous philosopher and scientist. When Pythagoras arrived in Crotona, Theano was already known and they met during the philosopher's speech in the temple of Hera to the women of the city. She is one of the so-called Pythagorean philosophers and is considered the most famous female astronomer and cosmologist of antiquity. She is said to have formulated the theory of the "Golden Ratio" as well as the theory of the "Harmony of the Spheres".
